The JICANet is an e-mail communications network sponsored by the Jekyll Island Citizens Association.Periodic e-mail Updates are compiled and distributed by an Editor/Distributor appointed by and responsible to the Board of Directors of the Association.Material proposed for publication is submitted via e-mail to email@example.com. In his/her capacity the Editor is responsible for selecting recipients and material for publication and in the timing of communications.The following policy guidelines have been adopted:
Subscription to the JICANet is open to interested parties as well as Association members.
The JICANet subscription list will be not sold, rented, shared or otherwise used outside the Association.
Items reported must be of general interest to members of the Association.
Publication of Association announcements and reports of its proceedings take precedence over other material.
Individual opinions will be published only as contained in minutes of the Association or reports of meetings in which the Association has designated a reporter.
The content of material submitted for publication on behalf of an organization is presumed to be authorized and remains the responsibility of the submitting organization.
In general, material in the nature of advertising by businesses or for-profit activities will not be published.
Only textual material will be published. This is In recognition of the varying capabilities of subscriber e-mail services which may not accommodatephotographs or other graphics.
Recurring meetings, services and programs are appropriate for the Events Calendar on the JICA website and will not be published via the JICANet.
As the JICA website Events Calendar matures, JICANet Updates will emphasize reference to it for details.
JICANet Updates are published using Ariel 12 point bold font for all text.Material submitted in other formats may be delayed or rejected.
