Jekyll Island Mens Golf Association (JIMGA)

JIMGA provides a variety of golfing opportunities for the full and part-time residents. Different games, including individual and team events, are played each week on Thursday. JIMGA uses the USGA handicap system to ensure that players with different skill levels feel competetive and can have fun.
New Members without a handicap will be enrolled in the USGA system. Within a few weeks of play he will establish a handicap. The cost of establishing a handicap is included in JIMGA dues.
Membership in JIMGA is open to all players. Jekyll residents and a significant number of part-time winter visitors are members. Membership currently costs $40 per year (2017-2018). This includes the USGA Handicap System.
Four Golf Courses: Oleander, Indian Mound, Pine Lakes, and Great Dunes are available for play. Players call (912)-635-2368. The Director of Golf is Spencer Brookman. A new head PGA Pro will soon be appointed. Walking is enjoyable while playing Jekyll courses but carts with GPS pin locators are available for rental.
