Coastal Georgia Audubon Society: The mission is to conserve our Georgia coastal area. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of a month, with special field trips throughout the year. The Coastal Audubon Society is a sponsor of Georgia’s Colonial Coast Birding & Nature Festival each year on Jekyll Island. Website: www.coastalgeorgiabirding.org.
Guided Nature Walks
Explore the beach, forest, marsh, or gardens. Meet your guide at the site at 9 a.m. Scheduled walks run March-October. No reservations needed. Other walks scheduled upon request.
- Mondays: Clam Creek Picnic Area (beach & marsh)
- Wednesdays: St. Andrews Picnic Area (beach & forest)
- Thursdays: Faith Chapel (landscape gardens)
- Fridays: South Dunes Picnic Area (beach & forest)
